For example, if I was undecided between two branches could I apply for both of their scholarships? I am interested in Army and Navy. I have a 3.9 GPA, 1790 SATs, 1180 for reading and math, didn't get ACT scores back yet, taking all AP classes senior year, honors and 1 ap class junior year, all honors classes freshmen and sophomore year, baseball for 11 years (JV sophomore and junior year), in JROTC this year and was in last year (cadet 1st LT), in National Honors Society, Student government, ski club, almost an eagle scout, and going to Boys State in a couple days. in order for my scholarship to work I have to be in ROTC at my college and army reserves simultaneously. What kind of things does a cadet do in reserves? Also, they gave me the option of doing reserves OR national guard. what would be the pros & cons of each? National guard helicopter slots decrease because of Federal Budget issues?

I am a SMP cadet in the nebraska army national guard and will be graduating from UNL in December. I am branching aviation into the nebraska army national guard. I have been told by the state aviation officers that I am projected to go to flight school in FY2012 dependent on the number of flight slots they receive from the NGB. In a normal year I have been told I would receive a slot (4-5 slots per year for Nebraska commissioned officers). Now I am waiting to hear from the Aviation command on if I will have a slot for 2012 and I am concerned because I was told they would find out in May 2011 how many slots they get and let me know when I go. Its now June and I am concerned that the Federal Budget is the reason for this large time delay and possibly affect the number of avation slots nebraska gets to the point I dont get one and have to branch something else. Anybody know what to expect or think?? Thanks!

Cub Cadet GT 1554 will not crank?

I have a cub cadet GT 1554 that got water in fuel (grandkids) I drained the tank and carb and put fresh gas in. It started one time and ran on one cylinder. Now it just backfires. The spark plugs are completely dry. It seems to not be getting fuel to the cylinders. The carb fuel bowl is filling up because when I lossen the solinoid on bottom of carb fuel flows out. Try snacking on sunflower seeds, as their great for your natural metabolism, also i've taken up running recently and its really helped, try running for slowly jobs for 20 minutes then turn round and try and do the same distance home in 10 minutes. Also, stop eating completely after 5.30 or so, the evening is when your metabolism is at its slowest. Do muscle work, this will again help with metabolsim, if u dn't want to build muscle the just use 1-1.5kg weights and do high intensity reps. Hope that helps!!

How do you put up with very little sleep?

I am in the Sea Cadets. I like to get up early, I like the early morning. Its just sometimes, at home, I don't even get up in the early morning and then I feel bad I slept in... Sometimes when I wake up, I don't really even think, I just turn off my alarm clock and fall back asleep, then later when I really wake up I remember.. I need help with an old micro controller?

So I have kenwood Kt-594 stereo. I want to do some tinkering but I'm stuck. The chip in it is a Sony CXP5016. I found a data sheet for it but I have no clue what to use to program it. Hi. I have a friend (seriously, it's not me. Do I have to accept everything as permitted and abolish every concept of right and wrong I've ever been taught? If I do that, then I lack the potential to help victims of wrong-doing. If I judge an action as wrong, though, then I take myself and my viewpoint as superior to that person, and therefore use my self-proclaimed superiority to justify intervening in said wrong-doing. I think the word "equality" needs to be strictly defined in order for this topic to be resolved... What does everyone else think? Is passing judgement acceptable in the world we live in? We do it every day, but does it help or hurt our interactions with the rest of the human race? I have had concussion for over 2 weeks now what do I do?

Even if you didn't hit your head the first time the sever force of you flipping over could have caused wip lash which causes sever neck, back and spine pain. All this combined can also cause the wip lash to effect your head and cause cerebral damage to the brain and cause concusion, which is very hard to diagnose along with whip lash if not properly checked with full CT SCAN and MRI scan to your head and spine, these symptoms can last a long time weeks, even months, but is a lot easier to over come with the correct treatment and check up's, then with the trampoline incident you may have worsened the condition even more, what to do is change your doctor as they have not looked after you properly, and I would recommend going straight to the hospital ASAP and explain everything to them and have the checks done an even just say you bumped your head as these symptoms are very serious when it comes to head or spinal injuries and the hospital will have no choice to take you in and look after you.

My parents came home today and told me they signed me up for air cadets. So, I want to know what it is. My friend that goes to army cadets does things they usually do in the army, such as marching bands and shooting. i used to be on an anti depressant that caused very vivid and wierd dreams, but this one tops the cake. I think your reading into it wrong! The fitness part is important (P.T.) physical training helps you mentally and physically tobe a better soldier and be mission capable, and sports helps you stay fit and active. The Army will not just focus on soccer , there's plenty of army stuff to train on, marching (drill and ceremony) facing movements, army common task exp. 1st aid, map reading,survival skills ect. The attitude you have going into this will determine if it's a good or bad 3 weeks, stay positive this is a good choice for the future!

Transferring Text Messages from Cell Phone to Laptop PC?

I have the LG Env3 through Verizon wireless and just found out they have NO program to do this. I do not have a data plan and do not think I need one to do this? I downloaded Bit Pim and thought it was going to work and plugged my cell phone into my laptop via the "charger cord" USB cable - plugged into the phone as in charging and then into a USB port on my laptop. I run Windows 7 on the laptop. I chose Detect Phone and had to manually enter the phone and then clicked Detect Phone and it says no phone detected and no com/serial port. I dont' know where to go from here. I did the Edit/Settings/Select Com Port and all it says is AUTO and says it will detect it automatically. I thought perhaps the port was no good (brand new laptop) and tried two other ports and still same thing. I have some text messages I need to be sure are saved and am afraid my phone will get full or I will accidentally erase them. Can anyone advise? I also tried GODSWMOBILESMS TRANSFER and that didn't work at all. I need some help and soon. Thank you!

You'll branch aviation upon graduation and recieve a commercial pilots license in rotor craft. since you already have your PPL and have contracted with Air Force ROTC you should have little trouble. Better way I belive than enlisting first and hoping to make it through to Warrant officer. sounds like they put a non smog engine in your truck, they make alot more power but wont pass e check. there are lots of different 454's but since its an 89 its injected so they might have put the right engine in but didn't hook up all the emision stuff. or it could have non emission friendly parts like a huge cam or something.

I use to live in Colorado and was trying to get on Denver Fire. Unfortunately as I was working through the cadet program I got a DUI this resulted in me being disqualified for life at the time I was 21. This disqualification occurred because I had another DWAI that was dropped when I was 18. But obviously the Fire Dept has the capability of finding a DWAI, even if it was dropped. I think it would be good to see a psychologist because they can help you get down to the root of your problem, but it seems like you're doing that pretty well on your own. Does an AROTC cadet granted an educational delay receive any kind of salary?

I'm currently an Army ROTC cadet, and I've been looking to try to get an educational delay in order to go to seminary and join the Chaplain Corps. The school is expensive though, and I haven't really been able to find clear answers on anything. I know I would commission as a Lieutenant before going to grad school, but I haven't been able to find information on if I'd be getting active duty pay, if I'd be gaining promotions in the "normal" amounts of time, if there are any scholarships available for Chaplain Corps since I'm ineligible for tuition assistance, or what kind of physical fitness guidelines I'd have to follow (would I have to go to monthly drill, or just maintain the PT standard on the test twice a year). Most information I have been able to find on scholarships and such have strictly been for Medical Corps and JAG, so anything chaplain-specific anyone could help me with would be amazing. Army National Guard Aviation Slots Decrease in 2012?

I am a SMP cadet in the nebraska army national guard and will be graduating from UNL in December. I am branching aviation into the nebraska army national guard. I have been told by the state aviation officers that I am projected to go to flight school in FY2012 dependent on the number of flight slots they receive from the NGB. In a normal year I have been told I would receive a slot (4-5 slots per year for Nebraska commissioned officers). Now I am waiting to hear from the Aviation command on if I will have a slot for 2012 and I am concerned because I was told they would find out in May 2011 how many slots they get and let me know when I go. Its now June and I am concerned that the Federal Budget is the reason for this large time delay and possibly affect the number of avation slots nebraska gets to the point I dont get one and have to branch something else. I am C/TSgt Maurer. I am in Civil Air Patrol (CAP). Also, I am the first sergeant. That's approximately the 4th highest cadet position in our squadron. I truly do believe i am a good leader; I even was awarded the United States Medal of Good Conduct. Awarded to me by a active US army member. In which he basically said I was a good leader with "impeccable character", and puts the need of others before those of her own, etc, etc. My biggest problem is that I'm too nice. I let things slide, and I'm not strict on them. I'm a door mat to basically anyone I come in contact with, inside and outside of CAP. I really want to be able to be strict enough on my cadets, but still be the kind of person they can come to. (Please don't be rude if this is not the right section, but CAP is the civilian auxiliary of the Air Force. I will join the AF when I come of age so I need to be a better leader now. We had to do about a fifteen minute march holding the rifles in the same position the whole way, I could hold my rifle any longer cos my arm wouldn't take it ne more but the 2 adults that wer ther just td me to get on with it basically and then we went into the ring and were bout to do a display but o was in tears then one of the adults come over to me and took the rifle off me for a bit but the gave it bak and made me start the rouitne and then I was crying agen half way thru and it took 1 of the instructors who weren't doing the parade to come and take the rifle off me and pull me out. ROTC infantry MOS???

After finishing ROTC I want to go into Infantry or MP. After finishing ROTC, I heard that getting into infantry is hard because it is the most popular MOS, and only the top ROTC cadets get the MOS that they want. My goal is to become a Canadian air force fighter pilot ( I know you don't get to choose once you join and everything; I've read and watched and learnt everything I could from the Internet ) Im starting air cadets this coming September, which will be a great benefit for my future path. In all my classes I'm above 90% and in an AP sciences course path. I find myself a good candidate, but he only problem I see is my weight. I know I'm not done growing but I am naturally skinny and I changed my diet and started working out to gain muscle weight in my arms and toning my abdominal muscles. I looked up pt requirement and I meet them all right now. But then I looked at the weight to height ratio (I'm 5'6 right now at 105lbs) and I estimated my height and saw that I would have to be around 120lbs? If I remember correctly. it is a realistic goal that I could reach in 3years.. So my main question is: do they accept underweight people to go through training? Thanks.

Now I am waiting to hear from the Aviation command on if I will have a slot for 2012 and I am concerned because I was told they would find out in May 2011 how many slots they get and let me know when I go. Its now June and I am concerned that the Federal Budget is the reason for this large time delay and possibly affect the number of avation slots nebraska gets to the point I dont get one and have to branch something else. How can I turn the tables on a prank?

I am going camping in a couple of days and just found out that all of my friends are going to try and prank me with the whole "snipe hunt" prank. I am in my third year of college and I actually just changed my major to criminology. The summer classes I am taking so far ( Advanced Principles of Criminal Justice, Crime, Race and Gender) are quite interesting. There not very difficult just lots of reading and discussion. The readings are enjoyable to me, because the subject matter. A big part of the two classes I am taking is discussion. You're pretty much required to participate. I'm guessing this is not a major for someone that is shy and afraid to speak up in class. There are many careers you can pursue with a degree in Criminology. I either want to work for the FBI, law school, or get my masters, and then a Phd an become a professor in criminology. All the things you want study are topics that care covered in Criminology. There are even classes devoted to those specific areas at my University. Hope this helps some.

first off a 454 can only be a 7.4 liter, the 8.1 is a Cadillac 501. since the crate block is after market, it can have elevated compression and little to no smog equipment. i think that your best option would be to find the local referees office and take it in there and talk to them about the situation. i had to do that a while back for my car because it did not have an egr valve but that was from the factory like that.
