Worried about fitting in to air cadets. Please can you help?

I want to join air cadets, however im really worried about being made fun of because i am new, maybe the youngest (13) etc. How did you find it on your first night, any tips, etc. Please, Please, put my mind at rest. feel free to share anything about air cadets1 =-)
