ARNG Aviation slots decrease because of Federal Budget?

I am a SMP cadet in the nebraska army national guard and will be graduating from UNL in December. I am branching aviation into the nebraska army national guard. I have been told by the state aviation officers that I am projected to go to flight school in FY2012 dependent on the number of flight slots they receive from the NGB. In a normal year I have been told I would receive a slot (4-5 slots per year for Nebraska commissioned officers). Now I am waiting to hear from the Aviation command on if I will have a slot for 2012 and I am concerned because I was told they would find out in May 2011 how many slots they get and let me know when I go. Its now June and I am concerned that the Federal Budget is the reason for this large time delay and possibly affect the number of avation slots nebraska gets to the point I dont get one and have to branch something else. Anybody know what to expect or think?? Thanks!
